Popular show ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ makes their feelings crystal clear about playing at Neyland Stadium
The Vols’ home venue left quite an impression on one of the show’s outspoken hosts and their crew.
The ferocity of Neyland Stadium is something that Tennessee Vols fans take great pride in, and in Josh Heupel’s five-plus years, the historic venue has retaken its place among college football’s loudest and most intimidating environments.
Tennessee has had games against Alabama that have caused the Crimson Tide’s play-by-play announcer to accuse the school of piping in crowd noise, something he later walked back. Current and former players from multiple schools have also listed Neyland Stadium as the loudest.
And you can add another notable name to the list of those who would give the nod to Neyland Stadium as the nation’s loudest. Despite Will Compton sticking with his Huskers (for whom he played) and Memorial Stadium, former Michigan Wolverines tackle Taylor Lewan, co-host of the popular “Bussin’ With The Boys” show with Compton, tabbed Neyland as the loudest stadium in the country. And he wasn’t the only one affiliated with the show to make that pick. Far from it, actually.
Taylor Lewan and a host 0f employees of the show ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ name Neyland Stadium as the loudest in the country
“I am a Big Ten homer. However, I have been to Neyland Stadium. I’ve seen that checker. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee, is the loudest college football stadium,” Lewan said.
Lewan wasn’t the only one. A number of other employees agreed, and Neyland effectively turned out to be the default go-to among all of them as far as trying to think of a place besides it to name.
Tennessee has a shot to create more great environments and memorable games this season. The Texas Longhorns come to Knoxville in late September for the checker Neyland game. Auburn and Alabama follow in October, and Lane Kiffin and LSU come in late November.
Perhaps the show’s crew will come out to a game this fall, and if so, maybe Will Compton will change his tune and join the rest of the crew about Neyland.
