It appears the Tennessee Vols have captured the attention of one of the top players in the 2025 football recruiting class.  Ackerman (MS) Choctaw County wide receiver Caleb Cunningham visited practice on Monday, and he's apparently liked what he's seen from the Vols.

Cunningham is a recruit worth rolling out the red carpet for.  The 6'3", 185-pound wideout is the 20th ranked recruit in the country on On3 Sports' industry rating, as well as the #3 overall wide receiver and top overall player in the country for the 2025 cycle.

This marks the third unofficial visit to Tennessee for Cunningham.  He was also in town for the Spring game last April and for the Tennessee - Georgia game back on November 18.

However, it seems as though Tennessee will have a fight to pluck him from the Magnolia State.  Cunningham has visited Ole Miss more times than any school at nine times, and On3 Sports has Mississippi State as a strong leader.

That said, there are plenty of reasons for Cunningham to have significant interest in Tennessee.  Heupel's offense has done wonders for the pro careers of his wide receivers.  Before last season, Heupel had more of his wide receivers drafted than any other coach in the previous three-year period.  Jalin Hyatt won the Biletnikoff Award with a phenomenal season in 2022.

And, oh yeah, that Nico Iamaleava guy might be kind of good at football too, it appears.  George MacIntyre is coming to town in 2025 as well.  Those are some really, really good players to be throwing receivers the ball.

Time will tell what happens.  For now, it's never a bad thing when a recruit leaves town happy with our program.
