Tennessee football’s recruiting efforts took a big blow this week when 5-star wide receiver Carnell Tate chose Ohio State over the Vols. The snub wasn’t completely unexpected but it always hurts to lose out on elite talent. Nonetheless, Josh Heupel and his staff are chugging forward on the recruiting trail and there are plenty of reasons to still be very excited about the 2023 class for Tennessee.

From other blue-chip wide receivers that have interest in UT to the transfer portal, the Vols should still be able to collect plenty of talent. On this week’s Big Orange Podcast, Zach Ragan and I talked about all of the upsides of Tennessee’s recruiting situation after missing out on Tate.
