There are few things more enjoyable as a Tennessee fan than making fun of Vanderbilt. The elitists in Nashville think they’re very special while actually being relatively terrible at everything other than academics.

In the last year, Tennessee has beaten Vandy in football, men’s basketball, baseball, women’s basketball, and golf. And that’s not even a complete list. If the two schools weren’t three hours down the road from each other in the same state, this wouldn’t be considered a rivalry at all. But since the Commodores seem to think they’re “Nashville’s team,” Vandy-Vols will continue to be a contentious matchup even if VU isn’t particularly competitive in most of the contests.

Regardless, Big Orange fans are continuously looking for ways to get at Vandy. And one troll job that the Vol faithful have considered for years now, but never successfully executed, is checkering Vanderbilt’s tiny football stadium like they do Neyland Stadium. As it has in the past, “checkering Vandy” came back into the minds of Tennessee fans after UT’s big win over Florida this week. But this time it could really happen.

On Wednesday night, a website called checkervandy.com appeared and started circulating on Vol message boards. The site lays out the checkering inside the stadium and gives fans an exact seating chart just like the official “Checker Neyland” website. Take a look…

PLEEEEEEASE let this actually happen. I would laugh for an entire year if Tennessee fans pulled this off. Share this with everyone you know who might be going to the VU-UT game in Nashville this season because every Vols fan needs this in their life.

If Josh Heupel is able to deliver a magical season in 2022 like it seems he might, checkering Vandy’s stadium would be a beautiful cherry on top of the whole thing. Let’s make it happen.
