The Tennessee Vols are reportedly receiving a visit from a former four-star recruit this weekend.

According to On3's Pete Nakos, Texas A&M transfer offensive lineman TJ Shanahan is planning to take a visit to Tennessee over the weekend.

Shanahan, 6-foot-4/330 lbs from Austin, TX, was rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class.

The soon-to-be former Aggie played in six games with two starts as a redshirt freshman in 2024.

Tennessee is expected to pursue several offensive linemen in the transfer portal with the program set to lose four of its five starting offensive linemen after the 2024 season.

Shanahan is a player that could provide some position versatility for the Vols as he has SEC experience at guard and center.

It's early in the winter transfer window, but moves can happen quickly due to the short portal window. We should know more after Shanahan's visit as to whether or not he'll be a fit for the Volunteers.

Update:

Shanahan reportedly is no longer scheduled to visit to Tennessee this weekend. The Vols' search for transfer offensive linemen continues…
