Earlier this offseason, the Tennessee Vols lost a commitment from 2026 four-star offensive lineman Brandon Anderson.
Anderson, 6-foot-5/335 lbs from Kennesaw, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 28 interior offensive lineman in the nation.
The Georgia native committed to Tennessee in October before decommitting from the Vols in late January.
On Monday, Anderson announced his final five schools and Tennessee made the cut, along with Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, and Missouri.
While the Vols are still in the mix for Anderson, it appears to be Florida State, according to On3, that's a "top program" in this recruiting battle.
Georgia is also a program is standing out to Anderson.
The four-star offensive lineman will take his official visits this spring/summer before announcing his commitment later in the year.
Tennessee is set to receive an official visit from Anderson on June 20. As of now, the Vols are slated to receive Anderson's final official visit (something that can often be an advantage for a program).
The Vols clearly have some work to do if they're going to get Anderson back in the commit column, but they're at least in the mix in this high-profile recruiting battle.
