Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin reportedly has a new home in the NFL.

According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Reeves-Maybin, who also serves as the NFLPA president, was signed to the Chicago Bears’ practice squad on Tuesday.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin was released by the Detroit Lions before the 2025 season

Reeves-Maybin, who played at Tennessee from 2013 to 2016, was selected by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

The former Vol spent the first five seasons of his career with the Lions before signing with the Houston Texas in 2022. After spending one season with the Texans, Reeves-Maybin returned to the Lions in 2023.

Reeves-Maybin reached the Pro Bowl as a special teams ace in 2023. He was released the Lions earlier this spring.

The Tennessee native has totaled 221 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles in his NFL career.
