A former Tennessee Vols standout was named by 247Sports as one of the top undrafted players after the 2025 NFL Draft.

Former Vols wide receiver Bru McCoy, a former five-star recruit, went unselected during the 2025 NFL Draft. Shortly after the draft, 247Sports named McCoy as one of the top 10 unselected players.

As of Sunday afternoon, McCoy hasn't been signed by an NFL team.

From 247Sports: In 28 games for the Volunteers, Bru McCoy had 104 catches for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns. His steel was the perfect complement to the silkiness and speed of Biletnikoff Award winner Jalin Hyatt in 2022. McCoy had 17 catches for 217 yards in four-plus before his injury in 2023. The former five-star prospect was a two-way phenom at prep powerhouse Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei. He signed with USC and enrolled in Los Angeles before transferring to Texas, but he returned to the Trojans that summer. McCoy missed all of the 2019 and 2021 seasons for off-field reasons, but his time at Tennessee was about what he did on the field for a program that won 30 games after his arrival.

McCoy, who started his college career at USC, caught 108 passes for 1,356 yards and seven touchdowns during his three seasons at Tennessee.

The California native suffered a brutal season-ending leg injury in 2023, but he returned to action for the Vols in 2024, playing in 12 games during his final season on Rocky Top.

McCoy will almost certainly get a chance with an NFL team this spring/summer, but he'll have an uphill battle ahead of him to stick on an NFL roster.
