A former Tennessee Vols player ended up in a viral photo with Taylor Swift on Sunday after the Kansas City Chiefs' win in Super Bowl LVIII.
Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend made his name as a punter for the Florida Gators from 2016 to 2019 before signing with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
Townsend, however, actually started his college career at Tennessee, signing with the Vols as a three-star recruit out of Boone High School in Orlando, FL.
After spending the 2015 season at Tennessee, Townsend transferred to Florida due to the emergence of Trevor Daniel.
On Sunday, after the Super Bowl, a photo of Townsend "flexing" alongside Swift went viral on social media.
As of Tuesday morning, the post has been viewed over 1.6 million times.
Townsend is one of three players on the Chiefs' roster that spent time at Tennessee, along with noted VFL Trey Smith and rookie offensive lineman Wanya Morris (who played two years at Tennessee before transferring to Florida).
