A former Tennessee Vols quarterback is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter announced on Monday that he's entering the portal.
Salter signed with Tennessee during the 2021 recruiting cycle. He was dismissed from the program in the summer of 2021 after multiple drug related incidents.
Salter transferred to Liberty shortly after he was dismissed from Tennessee.
In 2023, Salter had one of the best seasons of any player in college football, passing for 2,876 yards and 32 touchdowns while rushing for 1,089 yards and 12 touchdowns.
This past season, Salter didn't have quite the same success, passing for just 1,886 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 587 yards and seven touchdowns.
Despite the down year, Salter should still be a hot commodity in the portal.
Salter also entered the NCAA portal after the 2023 season, but he removed his name from the portal just a few days later.
