Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker, a third-round selection by the Detroit Lions in the 2023 NFL Draft, didn't have any NFL responsibilities this weekend.

The Lions were off this weekend before returning to action next week against the Los Angeles Chargers.

But despite not having an NFL game this weekend, Hooker wasn't at Neyland Stadium for Tennessee's homecoming game against UConn on Saturday.

But don't worry, Hooker, who was at Neyland for Tennessee's win against South Carolina earlier this season, had a pretty good reason for skipping the homecoming game in Knoxville.

Hooker spent Saturday in his hometown of Greensboro, NC for North Carolina A&T's homecoming.

The former Vol's father, Alan, was a legendary quarterback at A&T. And Hooker's younger brother, Alston, currently plays for the Aggies.

Hooker doesn't get many chances to see his brother in action, so it's nice to see that it worked out for the former Vol to get back to Greensboro on Saturday for what was undoubtedly an important day for the Hooker family.

And I'm sure Hooker had an eye on the Tennessee/UConn game throughout the afternoon.
