New Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell will get an early chance for a "signature moment" in her first season at Tennessee.

Multiple reports confirmed on Wednesday night that Tennessee and UConn will renew their rivalry in 2024-25 via a matchup in Knoxville between the two iconic programs.

According to CT Insider, a UConn spokesperson confirmed that Tennessee and UConn will begin a "multi-game" series that starts next season in Knoxville. The assumption is that the Lady Vols will travel to UConn the following season.

From CT Insider: A spokesperson for the Husky program confirmed the two iconic programs will begin a "multi-game" series next season with the Huskies traveling to Knoxville. While it is expected the series will take on a home-and-home style format with the Lady Vols traveling to Connecticut the following year, it is unclear how many years the new series is scheduled for.

Tennessee and UConn last played during the 2022-23 season. The Huskies beat the Lady Vols 84-67 in Knoxville.

The Lady Vols' last win in the rivalry came in 2007 when legendary UT head coach Pat Summitt led Tennessee to a 70-64 win in Hartford, CT.

UConn currently has a four-game winning streak in the series.

While Caldwell will have an early chance for a signature moment at Tennessee, it won't be an easy task.

UConn is coming of a typically strong season, going 33-6 last season while reaching the Final Four.
