The Tennessee Vols have an enormous series this weekend against the No. 4 Texas Longhorns in Knoxville. Texas is clearly in strong position to claim a national seed in the NCAA Tournament, while the Vols are currently projected as a 3 seed and have work to do to even make the tourney.

As such, there will be many interested eyes as the teams open their series this weekend at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

And speaking of Lindsey Nelson Stadium, Tennessee’s revamped baseball facility got a nod on social media on Thursday night from none other than… Texas baseball.

The Longhorns gave a beautiful aerial shot of Lindsey Nelson Stadium with the caption “Good ol’ Rocky Top” with #HookEm.

Naturally, a number of Tennessee supporters responded about the irony of Tennessee’s new beautiful stadium and surrounding area being promoted by the team they’re about to face.

To be fair, it’s quite a hat tip to the terrific job the school did in transforming the ballpark from an afterthought to one of college baseball’s more impressive venues. With additional seating, widened concourses, increased concessions, and a refurbished infrastructure, the facility is top-tier. Tennessee and Ole Miss set a stadium record with 7430 fans in attendance for their clash back on April 18.

We’ll find out this weekend if Tennessee fans can top that mark in the biggest home series of the season.
