Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis sends heartfelt message to Vol nation following his season-ending injury
Tennessee Volunteers senior tight end Ethan Davis suffered a season-ending injury in the win over Georgia Tech.
Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel announced earlier this week that senior tight end Ethan Davis will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury in last weekend’s win over Georgia Tech.
It’s a huge loss for the Volunteers as Davis was the No. 1 tight end on the depth chart. He’s important in the run game and he’s a dependable target in the pass game.
Sophomore DaSaahn Brame, South Alabama transfer Trent Thomas, and true freshman Luca Wolf will see bigger roles with Davis out.
Ethan Davis sends message to Vol Nation
Davis took to Twitter/X.com on Friday evening to send a message to Vol Nation.
“Vol Nation, thank you for the amount of unconditional love you all have shown me over the past week,” wrote Davis. “It has made processing this so much easier reading the messages from you all! It just shows and reminds me why I have and will always choose Knoxville as home! Thanks to Dr. Walt Lowe and his team for taking care of me and showing me immense care and gratitude! The marathon continues! Be back soon Knox!”
Davis is eligible to return to Tennessee in 2027 for a fifth and final season.
