Temple transfer cornerback Jalen McMurray announced his commitment to Tennessee via a post on social media.

McMurray entered the portal in late December after spending three seasons at Temple.

In McMurray's final two seasons at Temple, the cornerback earned a single digit jersey number, a tradition that that started at Temple in 2009 under then head coach Al Golden.

McMurray totaled 38 tackles in 2023, his second season as a starter.

Tennessee previously received transfer commitments from Middle Tennessee safety Jakobe Thomas and Oregon State cornerback Jermod McCoy. The three defensive back transfer additions will help solidify a Vols secondary that lost quite a bit of experience to the transfer portal after the 2023 season.
