The status of Tennessee Vols sophomore defensive back Boo Carter is still up in the air.

Carter has reportedly missed numerous team activities and workouts in recent weeks, which has upset some of Tennessee's team leaders

Fall camp is set to get underway for the Vols on July 30. Tennessee fans should have some clarification on Carter's status by then.

In the meantime, rumors continue to swirl about what exactly is going on with Carter. It's unclear if he's interested in leaving Tennessee so he can walk on at another program for the 2025 season.

Adding to the confusion surrounding the situation is the fact that Carter has hired a new agent….at least we think he has.

Carter's former agent spoke to CBS Sports this week and he seemed uncertain of his role with the star defensive back moving forward.

"I did represent Boo. However, I'm not sure I still do," said Issac Conner to CBS Sports. "He has been non responsive and so has his mother. They posted something about Omar Cooper representing him and advising him now."

Omar Cooper is an agent who also represents Ace Bailey, a Chattanooga native who was selected by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft.

We'll see how this situation plays out. For now, it feels like it's 50/50 on whether Carter plays for the Volunteers this fall.
