CBS Sports predicts that Tennessee will climb to No. 19 when the new AP Top 25 poll is released later on Sunday afternoon.
The prediction from CBS Sports has Tennessee passing Virginia, Louisville, Missouri, and Memphis in the rankings.
On3 isn’t quite as optimistic about Tennessee moving up in the rankings. They have the Vols moving up to just No. 21 in the new AP Top 25, with Virginia and Louisville remaining ahead of Tennessee.
Tennessee’s College Football Playoff hopes are still alive — and several results on Saturday were beneficial to the Vols’ hopes — but UT still needs a lot of help to get into the tournament.
The Vols will be back in action on Saturday in Neyland Stadium for a late afternoon matchup against New Mexico State.
