Tennessee Vols defensive back Andre Turrentine made some comments about the Ohio State Buckeyes this week that went viral.

Tennessee and Ohio State are set to meet on December 21 in Columbus for a first round College Football Playoff matchup.

On Tuesday, Turrentine, who started his career at Ohio State before transferring to Tennessee, was asked about how loud it can get in Columbus.

"The shoe isn't as loud as the SEC," said Turrentine. "It's a different animal here, whether you're at South Carolina at nighttime, or whether you're at Arkansas at nighttime, whether you're at Neyland at nighttime, or the daytime for that matter. It's loud here, it's deafening."

The clip cut off the rest of Turrentine's comments, which included the redshirt junior defensive back telling reporters that the Horseshoe in Columbus "brings it as well".

"I would say the shoe is the same way, they have really die hard fans that are prepared to make enough noise," added Turrentine. "I would say that the SEC is a little bit louder, but the shoe brings it as well."

The viral clip going around doesn't show Turrentine giving Ohio State's fans credits for being loud. Instead, it makes it look like Turrentine was completely dismissing Ohio Stadium as a hostile environment, which obviously wasn't the case.

Whether or not Neyland is a little louder or not doesn't matter — the Vols will need to be prepared for a raucous crowd when they head to Columbus later this month.
