Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings is one step closer to finding his next home in the NFL.

Jennings is a free agent this offseason after spending the first six seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco essentially confirmed that Jennings won’t be returning next season by drafting his replacement in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft (Ole Miss wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling).

Jauan Jennings is reportedly visiting the Minnesota Vikings this week

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jennings is visiting the Minnesota Vikings this week.

The visit is set to begin on Tuesday night and will conclude on Wednesday.

Minnesota could be a good landing spot for Jennings.

The quarterback situation isn’t the most ideal — JJ McCarthy hasn’t panned out, and the team signed Kyler Murray after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this offseason — but there’s opportunity at the wide receiver position.

Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are currently the Vikings’ top two wide receivers, but the depth chart is wide open beyond those two. Jennings could slide in as WR3 (or maybe even WR2) while providing elite blocking in the run game.

We’ll see in the coming days if the two sides see each other as a match.
