There’s reportedly been ‘dialogue’ about 2027 5-star RB and Vols recruiting target David Gabriel Georges reclassifying to the 2026 class

One of the Tennessee Vols’ top 2027 recruiting targets is five-star running back David Gabriel Georges.

The Quebec native, who currently attends The Baylor School in Chattanooga, visited Tennessee this past weekend for the Vols’ win against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Gabriel Georges told On3 that the visit was “great” and that he could see himself playing for the Volunteers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are also heavily pursuing Gabriel Georges.

Could David Gabriel Georges reclassify to the 2026 recruiting class?

On3’s Steve Wiltfong dropped a bit of a bombshell on Monday morning when he noted that there’s been “dialogue” about Gabriel Georges reclassifying to the 2026 class.

“Gabriel Georges is physically ready to play college football right now and in the reclassification era there has been some dialogue about him potentially making the move to 2026,” wrote Wiltfong. “Tennessee doesn’t have a running back committed in the 2026 class and there has been some talk about what that would look like if Gabriel-Georges did reclassify.”

We’ll see if that “dialogue” turns into anything concrete.

Gabriel Georges certainly looks college ready right now. Offering the talented running back a spot in the 2026 recruiting class could be a smart move by the Vols, potentially helping Tennessee win this recruiting battle while bringing an elite playmaker to Rocky Top next fall.
