‘I don’t think I should’ – Former Georgia star David Pollack predicts the final score of Kentucky vs Tennessee showdown
The Tennessee Volunteers and the Kentucky Wildcats will face off in Knoxville this weekend in a very important SEC matchup.
Tennessee is currently on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoff, but a win over Kentucky this weekend would likely put the Vols firmly inside the top 10.
The Volunteers are currently No. 13 in the playoff rankings while the Wildcats are at No. 6.
A win over the Wildcats would qualify as one of the best wins in college football this season and that could be enough to put Tennessee in the same cluster as Alabama, which is currently ranked eight spots ahead of the Vols (despite the Crimson Tide’s 26-10 loss to Tennessee a few weeks ago).
Former Georgia star David Pollack predicts the final score of Kentucky vs Tennessee
Tennessee is favored by 6.5 points in this game, but not everyone thinks the Vols will get the win.
Former Georgia standout David Pollack, in fact, is picking Kentucky to leave Neyland Stadium with the win on Saturday.
“I’m sticking with Big Blue Nation,” said Pollack. “I don’t think I should. This is a very tough spot for them to be in. But just the taking care of the football and not making mistakes. I think they’ll make one (mistake), but I don’t think they will make a few.
“I think it’ll be very closely contested. I have 28-24 Kentucky. Will Stein puts his onions on the table, goes for it on fourth down late in the game, and they come through because he has no problem making big-time calls in big games.”
There’s a lot on the line for both of these teams. Kentucky has a little more room for error since they only have one loss, but it’s essentially a must-win game for both programs.
Tennessee and Kentucky will kick off at 6:15 PM ET on Saturday. The game will air on ESPN.
