The New Orleans Saints learned first-hand what a season without their starting quarterback looks like last year. Jameis Winston can lead their offense to success. The other options did not last season. The difference was stark. Now, the Saints did bring in veteran Andy Dalton to be the backup, but the upside offensively is capped with him at QB. Winston seems to be getting back to full strength, though.
Jameis did full team drills for the first time. Had some high moments. Threw his first pick in 11-on-11s when CJ Gardner-Johnson got him

It is vital for Winston to get these reps in before the season opener. The Saints have about three weeks until their first regular season game, and he needs to be on the same page with his receivers. Michael Thomas did not play with him last year. Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry are both new additions.
A healthy Winston could be exactly what the Saints need to take a big step on offense this season. The offensive line has a couple of new pieces, but it should still be a solid unit in front of him. He still has one of the best running backs in the game as well in Alvin Kamara.
The Saints will have his health at the forefront of their mind. Their fans will, too. The defense is one of the most talented in the league and has played really well throughout camp. Winston and his weapons must stay on the field and produce.
