It looks like the New Orleans Saints will have one of their stars on defense for tomorrow’s season opener. Safety Tyrann Mathieu reportedly made the trip to Atlanta to face the Falcons. He will be a key cog in the defense for the Saints this season.

Defensive back Paulson Adebo will miss the game, so expect New Orleans to use Mathieu and other DBs in multiple spots. They will rotate them often to see what works best during the game.
For Mathieu, it is clear that this game is important to him. He played at LSU in college, and it would have been difficult to keep him out of his first game with the Saints. If he does indeed play, the Saints will be getting a big boost in their secondary.
