Pros of Kamari Ramsey
- Explosive. 40 time and tape matches as he detonates on ball carriers with a head of steam.
- Powerful. Arrives at the point of contact like a bulldozer. Enforces over the middle, stones running backs, and disrupts the catch point with big hits.
- Technical. Always under control in his pedal, smooth transitions, and effortless hip turns allow him to always make plays on the ball.
Cons of Kamari Ramsey
- Instincts against the run. Want to see him trigger downhill faster and make quicker run fits when patrolling near the line of scrimmage.
- Man coverage. Struggles against route-running savants when playing the overhang.
Background
A California native from Palmdale, Ramsey started his collegiate career with the UCLA Bruins after a decorated high school career at Sierra Canyon. He joined the Bruins as a four-star recruit and was touted as the No. 10 safety in the nation by ESPN. Ramsey transferred to USC in 2024, where he put together a productive two years for the Trojans.
Player Evaluation
Kamari Ramsey is an interesting prospect in the 2026 class because of his role and projection at the next level. At his best, he’s probably playing in the high post as a true center fielder. In 2025, however, USC asked him to play more nickel, and he excelled as a plus one against the run while enforcing and patrolling the middle of the field and underneath routes. There aren’t a lot of flaws in his game, and he could be an instant contributor thanks to his traits and technique.
