The Buffalo Bills have a long, long list of free agents ahead of the 2024 NFL offseason and it's not going to be an easy task deciding who's coming back and who's not.
Keep in mind, the Bills are $51 million over the cap and although they'll make sure to manipulate it with several moves, it's unlikely they're able to bring back everyone.
Let's dive into their list of free agents and feature three who can't be allowed to walk this March.

Gabe Davis shouldn't be brought back
Let me start off by pointing out a notable absence on the list below: Wide receiver Gabe Davis.
The reality is having been an important starter for multiple years now, Davis is unlikely to sign for a cheap deal. That's an uncomfortable spot to be in for the Bills as they not only need wide receivers but they need better wide receivers.
They're better off investing in a free agent (or maybe even a trade) and the 2024, NFL Draft, which is expected to be loaded at WR including Day 2 prospects like Georgia's Ladd McConkey, who has been killing it per A to Z Sports' own Travis May:
Speaking of wide receivers who were open all day. Ladd McConkey could not be stopped, flat out embarrassing most defensive backs all day. And even when the pass wasn't perfect he would finish with some acrobats like in the play below.
3 free agents Bills can't let go
DT DaQuan Jones
Jones is an absolute beast in the trenches that offenses need to account for. Even though he only logged seven games this season, Jones made an impact that was extremely evident as the best version of the Bills defensive line was when he happened to be playing. He elevates Ed Oliver and the defensive ends.
Jones was fifth on the team in QB pressures despite his limited playing time. By early October, Floyd led the league leaders in pass rush win despite being doubled team at a 69% rate. Talk about a nice stat.
EDGE Leonard Floyd
One of the most painful but most important takeaways from the 2023 Bills is that Von Miller isn't it. It's okay to admit it. But that means Buffalo should be concerned about its pass rush.
Floyd finished the season with a team-high 10.5 sacks and 19 QB hits. And if Floyd isn't brought back because he will cash in on a great season, then at least it's gotta be…
EDGE A.J. Epenesa
Epenesa's numbers aren't otherworldly but he still played 15 games and delivered 6.5 sacks to go with seven tackles for loss and (don't ask me how) two interceptions.
You can never have too many DEs and Epenesa shouldn't be allowed to walk if the Bills are to remain one of the best teams in the AFC.
As you can see, there's a little bit of a theme here. The Bills have a solid defense but they absolutely need to bring back key contributors on the defensive line to sustain such success.
