Former MVP and future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson was moved to posting a video on Instagram praising Chase’s reception as much as he possibly could.
“That’s probably the best catch I’ve ever seen in my life,” Peterson said in the video. “The adjustment, to be stumbling, to track the ball, to drag your feet. Like, I don’t think I’ve seen a better catch than that. That was amazing. There’s probably only a couple guys that could’ve made that catch in NFL history. That was special. That was special.
Peterson produced some of the best touchdowns we’ve ever seen from an offensive playmaker. He’s been in and around the league for nearly 20 years. He may be joining the greatest players in the history of the game next year in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and if not, he won’t have to wait much longer to receive his gold jacket.

Chase himself knows it’s one of his best grabs, but he wasn’t ready to say it was his No. 1.

No other player has scored more touchdowns than Chase since he entered the league in 2021. His first of the year and first of two on Sunday is most definitely the best he’s ever scored. The 26-year-old can admit that, but is it the best overall reception of his career?
“I’d probably say top-two,” Chase told BengalsTalks.com’s Jay Morrison. He had to briefly think about the No. 1, but landed on his one-handed grab against Jalen Ramsey in Super Bowl LVI.
“Super Bowl catch,” Chase confirmed.
Hard to argue with Chase there. He beat Ramsey in one-on-one coverage in the biggest game of his career to catch a 46-yard pass from Joe Burrow with just his right hand. It’s one of the plays Bengals fans still think about from that fateful night that didn’t end the way they wanted. Cincinnati experienced a different outcome on Sunday, beating the Houston Texans, 20-6, on the back of Chase’s two TDs.
While he may have his own opinion on his impressive catalogue of catches, Chase will surely accept the praise from an all-time great. He liked Peterson’s video, which had his accounted tagged in the description.
