The Cincinnati Bengals enter the weekend of NFL Week 15, and Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens is as much of a must-win for the home team as there is on the league-wide calendar. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, at least one player is not going to be able to play.

Let’s take a look at Friday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Ravens.

Observations

  • Tee Higgins (concussion) was declared out by head coach Zac Taylor following Friday’s practice in which Higgins did not participate. Higgins entered the concussion protocol at the start of the week after reporting symptoms following last Sunday’s Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, which was his first game back from his first concussion suffered in Week 12. Expect Mitchell Tinsley to get the start for Higgins like he did in Week 13.
  • Shaka Heyward (fibula) was officially activated off the Reserve/Injured list Friday and is good to make his return. Heyward has missed the last five games on I.R. and was cleared to practice last week. He becomes the fifth linebacker in Cincinnati’s defense and will be relied upon for special teams duties.
  • Shemar Stewart (knee) has yet to be activated off I.R. and is officially doubtful despite logging three full practices this week. Stewart was cleared to practice Wednesday after missing the last four games, and as of now, he might have to miss another.

Observations

  • Rashod Bateman (ankle) did not practice Friday after going limited Thursday and is officially questionable. Bateman, who has 217 receiving yards and two touchdowns this year, figures to be a game-time decision.
  • Mark Andrews (glute) did go full after being limited Thursday and is set to suit up against Cincinnati. Andrews had 47 yards on four receptions in Baltimore’s Week 13 loss to the Bengals.
  • Ronnie Stanley (rest) had a rest day Friday but he will play Sunday. Stanley has made 116 career starts at left tackle for the Ravens.
