Christian Jones Player Profile

Age: 23
Year: Rookie
Position: Offensive tackle
College: San Diego State
Jersey Number: 76

Christian Jones was signed as a UDFA by the Bengals following the 2026 NFL Draft. Jones spent five years in college, all at SDSU. He was redshirted in 2021 and only played four snaps in 2022 before becoming the starting left tackle for the first half of 2023. His first full year of starting came in 2024, and he played half of his first game at left guard. He capped off his career with another full year at LT in 2025.

Jones is by far the largest rookie on Cincy’s roster this offseason, standing 6-9 and 345 pounds. Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims are both 6-8, making Jones the tallest player on the roster.

Contract details

Jones signed a three-year, $3,150,000 deal with the Bengals. His base salary for 2026 is the minimum $885,000. He’s also getting $50,000 as a signing bonus, the largest out of all 11 UDFAs for the Bengals this year. His cash figure for the year is $935,000, and his salary cap hit will be $901,666.

Roster outlook

The Bengals have plenty of tackles on their roster behind Brown and Mims, but Jones’ contract is an interesting factor in him being a UDFA long shot. Never before has the club paid $50,000 for a non-drafted rookie to be a part of the offseason roster.

Could that be a sign they’re already quite high on him? Possibly. But he’ll have to play up to his inordinate size to prove it. Stashing a physical clone of both starters would be ideal.
