Injuries for the Cincinnati Bengals are only getting more concerning as Week 3 inches closer and closer.

A total of six names are listed on Thursday’s injury report, and two of them did not practice at all. Let’s take a look at the ailments Cincinnati is dealing with in the middle of its week of practice before Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Bengals Thursday injury report

CB Cam Taylor-BrittHamstringLimitedDNP
CB DJ Turner IIHamstringLimited
LB Logan WilsonAnkleLimitedFull

Observations

  • After leaving practice Wednesday, Taylor-Britt (hamstring) did not practice at all Thursday, which definitely puts his game status in doubt for Sunday. Cincinnati holds a light practice Friday so Taylor-Britt will have missed the majority of practice time regardless this week.
  • Turner (hamstring) has a new injury and was limited Thursday. It could be a similar case as Taylor-Britt wherein he suffered the injury mid-practice. Not having either Taylor-Britt or Turner for Sunday would likely put Josh Newton and DJ Ivey in the starting lineup along with Dax Hill.
  • Stewart (ankle) was a DNP again. The rookie suffered his injury after playing 29 snaps last Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. A Friday practice would be surprising from him.
  • Fairchild (shoulder) went full again, and Wilson (ankle) was a full participant after being limited Wednesday.

Observations

  • Much like last week, Darrisaw (knee) did not practice after going full on Wednesday. If the pattern continues, he’s not likely to play Sunday.
  • Grennard (oblique) went full after being limited Wednesday, which is typically a good sign towards a player suiting up. The former Pro Bowler has one sack and three solo tackles so far this season.
  • Smith (illness), who’s yet to play this season, went limited for the second day in a row. Smith is in his 14th year and has made six Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro in 2017.
