The big name to monitor this week is cornerback DJ Turner II (heel). Turner, who left during Sunday’s win against the Tennessee Titans, is officially day-to-day with his heel injury and would not have practiced Wednesday. That he made the trip to Spain at all is a promising sign for him to potentially play against Atlanta. Still, he’ll likely need a full practice later in the week for Cincinnati to give him the green light.

Defense end Cedric Johnson (ankle/foot) would’ve also been a non-participant Wednesday. Johnson also left the Titans game and did not return, but like Turner, he is in Spain with a chance to suit up Sunday morning.

It would be a significant loss if either Turner or Johnson weren’t able to play. Without Turner, the Bengals would likely start both DJ Ivey and Josh Newton alongside Week 1 starter Dax Hill. Neither Ivey nor Newton are trustworthy starters for an entire game, and even Hill had his fair share of struggles against Tennessee last week. Johnson is fourth in the DE rotation which just lost rookie Cashius Howell, the No. 3, to the Reserve/Injured list this week.

Safety Kyle Dugger (quad) aggravated his quad injury during Week 7 and is still week-to-week. Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen would have gotten his usual rest day. S Jordan Battle would’ve been limited with a hamstring injury, which he’s been playing through for the last month.

The Falcons had a walkthrough Wednesday, making this injury report an estimation as well.

DE Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring), linebacker Devine Deablo (forearm), and running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) all missed Atlanta’s Week 8 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to their respective injuries. Bowman would’ve been a full participant, and Deablo and Robinson would’ve been limited. Wide receiver Zachariah Branch (hamstring) would’ve been the lone Falcon to miss practice.
