Adam Sandler probably won't be calling Cleveland Browns tight end Brenden Bates to star in Happy Gilmore 3.

Bates made the trip to Nashville for Tight End University, which has proven to be lots of fun based on all the videos and pictures. And on Thursday, the guys took some time for a round of golf.

A video posted by the NFL showed Bates attempting the Happy Gilmore swing, but it didn't go well, as he missed the ball and ended up completely falling over.

Maybe he was trying to take Travis Kelce's spot in the hit movie, but not after this attempt.

Last summer, Kelce tried the Happy Gilmore swing on the golf course and it went a lot better. So that might be why Sandler offered the Kansas City Chiefs tight end a role instead.

Bates is going to have to work on this if he wants a shot at a possible third movie. But for now, fans will get the chance to see Kelce in Sandler's highly awaited sequel on July 25.
