Browns’ 2026 schedule release: Cleveland just got the news it needed on when a Kevin Stefanski matchup is happening
The 2026 NFL schedule is here for the Cleveland Browns with plenty of wrinkles. One interesting part of the schedule is the Browns taking on the Kevin Stefanski led Atlanta Falcons.
We have the 2026 schedule for the Cleveland Browns and a good look at what’s ahead for Todd Monken’s first season as the head coach. After going 5-12 in Kevin Stefanski’s last season, the Browns need to take some kind of step forward with the offseason changes they’ve made.
Cleveland has revamped its offensive line and added new playmakers in the draft with wideouts KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston. Still, the biggest question with the Browns remains at the quarterback position. Deshaun Watson is the favorite to be the starter it seems, but Shedeur Sanders is competing for the job as well, until he isn’t.
The Browns have been handed one key storyline with their 2026 schedule and we knew it was coming.
Kevin Stefanski is set to make his return to Cleveland in 2026
Stefanski coached the Browns for six seasons and had more success than any head coach in franchise history in recent memory. The two-time NFL Coach of the Year will return as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14 on Dec. 13. It’ll be a Sunday 1 p.m. kickoff for the Browns at home on the lake.
The former head coach of the Browns went 45-56 over his first six seasons as a head coach and that includes an 8-26 record over the last two seasons. Stefanski did coach the Browns to two 11-win seasons and a pair of playoff appearances. The 2020 season was Stefanski’s first with the Browns and Cleveland picked up its first playoff win in over two decades against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wildcard.
Cleveland will want to go out and get a win against their coach to show they weren’t the problem, it’s a natural instinct. The same can be said about Stefanski feeling motivated to go and deliver a loss to the team that let him go. It’s a matchup that immediately jumps out on the Browns’ schedule.
