Johnny Manziel was once supposed to be the quarterback to revitalize the Cleveland Browns.
He was short-lived in Cleveland, like many quarterbacks. But that is a story that has been told and re-told time and time again.
What is of note, however, is a post on X, the former NFL quarterback put out in response to Joe Flacco pulling within 100 yards of Manziel's 31st ranking on the Browns' all-time passing list.
"Some records were meant to be broken," Manziel wrote in response to Jason Lloyd's post.

It is pretty astounding that in a quarter of a season, Flacco is nearing a mark that took Manziel two seasons and 14 games to rack up.
Now, the former Browns quarterback wasn't exactly setting the world on fire during his time in Cleveland.
It is more of a praise for how good Flacco has been in his six-week run in Cleveland. The veteran quarterback was on his couch two months ago. And now he can say he helped guide a long-beleaguered franchise to the playoffs.
Hollywood couldn't come up with a better script than that. As for Manziel's post, he is right — some records are meant to be broken.
