The Cleveland Browns remain without a starter at quarterback and we’re heading into April very soon.
Many prominent media members who cover the NFL believe the Browns will eventually trade for Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins at some point, but that isn’t likely to happen until after the 2025 NFL Draft. Cousins has a no-trade clause and wants to ensure he doesn’t go to a team that takes a quarterback in the first round.
A photo circulated on X (Twitter) on Thursday evening claiming Cousins was in Westlake, Ohio, at a Chipotle. There is no confirmed truth to this, and it is just a rumor that started on social media to this point. However, Cousins himself chimed in to have some fun with it.
Salad with double chicken, we now know what Cousins orders when he hits up Chipotle. The important stuff we needed to know, right? That reply alone sent Browns fans into a frenzy wondering if Cousins is indeed in Northeast Ohio.
The Atlanta Falcons would have to give permission to Cousins to speak with any other team since they currently hold all rights to him while he is under contract. Atlanta recently let a 2026 bonus trigger that showed they’re serious about looking for a trade partner down the road, or that they’ll be keeping him as a highly priced backup.
With Russell Wilson off the board to the New York Giants, veteran QB options are running out for the Browns. They have never been connected to Aaron Rodgers and there is no word they’re interested in bringing back Flacco. Cousins does make sense due to his background with Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Until the Browns get a quarterback, fans are going to buy into any sign that comes across. Again, there is no confirmed truth to Cousins being in Westlake, let alone Ohio. However, he opted to bring more attention to it himself. The wait for a starting quarterback in option continues.
