Cowboys vs. Packers Final Score Predictions: Experts pick who wins what’s looking like an epic shootout at Lambeau Field
The last time these two teams faced each other, it was a 40-40 tie at AT&T Stadium. What should you expect from the rematch in Green Bay?
Dak Prescott hasn’t beaten the Green Bay Packers since his rookie season in 2016. He sure got close last year when he led the Dallas Cowboys to a 40-point performance. The problem? The Jordan Love-led offense scored 40 of its own.
Entering Week 6, expect a similar shootout between the third-highest scoring offense per points per drive and a Packers offense that seems to be clicking at the right time. Our experts share their predictions for one of the biggest games of the week.
Packers stay on explosive play trend
Wendell Ferreira, A to Z Sports Green Bay: Over the past couple of weeks, since the Green Bay Packers stabilized their offensive line situation, the team has been good. It was an underwhelming but reasonable performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then an impressive win over the Chicago Bears. Since Week 4, the Packers are 10th on offense and third on defense by DVOA, while the Cowboys are 11th on offense and 30th on defense.
But I would still expect a high-scoring game. The Packers have faced Kyler Murray/Carson Wentz, Geno Smith, Michael Penix, Jalon Daniels, and Tyson Bagent/Case Keenum so far. Even if you like Geno, Dak Prescott is obviously the best quarterback this defense has faced so far, and it’s not particularly close. At the same time, it’s by far the worst defense Jordan Love has faced too, so the offense should keep hunting explosive plays like it did against the Bears.
I’d expect the Packers to win a close one at Lambeau Field, but getting more out of the running back to make a game with fewer drives could be a smart approach for this specific matchup.

Can Dak Prescott keep it close?
Kole Noble, A to Z Sports Chicago: The Green Bay Packers had a huge bounce-back game last week that reminded a lot of people how good this team can actually be. Jordan Love was essentially operating in an air-raid offense against the Chicago Bears’ secondary and it actually helped open some things up in the run game. This week, I see similar things happening against the Dallas Cowboys’ defense that has more questions than answers. Green Bay will easily top 30 points in this game for the second week in a row.
The main difference from this week compared to last week for the Packers is that the Cowboys’ offense is able to keep up in this kind of game, something a Tyson Bagent-led offense wasn’t capable of. If this turns into a high-scoring shootout, Dak Prescott has the arm and the weapons to keep this one close. I just think Dallas’ defensive concerns will be just a little much to overcome if Love is able to expose another defense with the deep ball.

Cowboys bounce back
Mauricio Rodriguez, A to Z Sports Dallas: The Cowboys offense will be fine. Yes, they stunk it up versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pressures and were overwhelmed by Todd Bowles’ blitzing. They also were playing on a short week on the heels of a road game on the heels of an international trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Dak Prescott and Co. settled down in the second half and found ways to respond to the blitz. Turnovers did them in against the Bucs in the end (as well as their atrocious defense).
The Packers are a tough team to figure out. Jordan Love completed six deep 30+ yard passes against the Chicago Bears last week, including two shots of 50+ yards. Even against the league’s worst defense, that should be hard to replicate in the NFL, specially because the Dallas offense is unlikely to turn the ball over five times like the Tyson Bagent Bears did.
