Day 3 Cowboys Mock Draft: Dallas keeps building the defense with three solid picks in the fourth round, lands a sleeper on offense
Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft is about to kick off. Here’s one final Dallas Cowboys mock draft, as they’re set to make three picks in the fourth round, including two in the first 15 selections.
Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft is upon us and it will be a busy one for the Dallas Cowboys, at least early on. Owner and GM Jerry Jones said they’re bullish on some players still on the board—so I don’t expect CB Jermod McCoy’s name to be called here.
Below is my last-minute mock draft for the final rounds using our A to Z Sports draft simulator.
Round 4, Pick No. 112: CB Malik Muhammad, Texas
At 21 years old, Muhammad can be a long-term project for the Cowboys. He’s got plenty of upside as a man-coverage specialist. He’s physical but undersized, which can get him in trouble at times. Muhammad would be steal in Round 4.
Round 4, Pick No. 114: LB Keyshaun Elliott, Arizona State
The Cowboys added veteran LB Dee Winters and third-round pick EDGE/LB Jaishawn Barham at the position, but neither is a true middle linebacker. Elliott was a MIKE in college. As a former quarterback, his football IQ is his biggest calling card.
He has a long way to go before being a starter (coverage is an issue) but could be a good Day 3 project for the Cowboys.
Round 4, Pick No. 137: iOL Beau Stephens, Iowa
Stephens is one of the most underrated prospects in the class for our own NFL Draft expert Ryan Roberts. He’s a solid run blocker that the Cowboys did pre-draft homework on and could be a sleeper pick here.
“Stephens strikes me as a future starter who won’t be overly flashy, but an efficient player who, at worst, will be an outstanding swing option inside to backup all three interior positions,” wrote Roberts.
Round 7, Pick No. 218: WR Jordan Hudson, SMU
Nope, different Jordan Hudson.
Hudson has the build of an NFL wide receiver, it’s just a matter of fleshing out his game, both on offense and on special teams. He could be a UDFA target but the Cowboys take a swing here instead.
