He had his introductory press conference for Denver earlier today and provided plenty of content that will excited fans.
Payton sounded confident that he and his offensive staff can take this offense to the next level. He's got belief in Russell Wilson as a veteran quarterback with plenty left in the tank.
Accordingly, along with an elite defense peppered with talent, Payton has a clear message about winning during his time with the Broncos.
Fans of the Broncos are ready to have a contender once again.
Last year's experiment with Nathaniel Hackett at the helm went horribly, but the defense was impressive.
If Payton does well with the rest of his staff hirings, they look like they will have plenty of pieces to put together a team that can make waves in the AFC.
It certainly won't be easy in that conference, but a coach like Payton provides a lot more upside than others on offense. He is a proven play-caller that has earned respect for his game planning across the NFL.
Payton is ready to lead the Broncos back to where they were just under a decade ago – a Super Bowl and maybe even more than one.
