We’re already all winners from the Broncos vs. Seahawks matchup and the game hasn’t even been played yet
NFL Week 6 begins with a “Thursday Night Football” showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, and the aesthetic of the game already makes this a huge win for fans.

Sure, there will be exciting players to watch like Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Broncos EDGE Nik Bonitto. Sean Payton‘s Denver offense battling against Mike Macdonald’s Seattle defense is primetime-worthy drama.
But this game has what the NFL needs much more of: Retro uniforms clashing against one another!
Broncos vs. Seahawks is a uniform matchup for the ages
The Broncos and Seahawks will each be wearing throwback uniforms on Thursday night. Denver is sporting its “Orange Crush” uniforms with their classic orange jerseys and blue helmet, while Seattle is rocking its and royal blue and green apple fits.

Both are awesome throwbacks, and seeing them clash on the field makes it even better. The average NFL game features one team wearing white jerseys, typically the visiting squad, and the other wears its colored jerseys. We rarely see a uniform matchup without a white jersey.
The colors are incredible as well! Orange and blue are perfect complements to one another, while the white, gray, and green play off them exquisitely.
And then you get to the historical aspect. These teams used to be division rivals in the AFC West from 1977-2001 and wore these exact colors. But again, never while wearing the color versions at the same.
It’s a good way to get casual fans to tune in to what should be an already good contest. The Broncos are coming off a clutch win on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, and Seattle is reeling from a close loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Both clubs find themselves at 3-2.
Kickoff on Thursday night at Empower Field at Mile High is at 6:15 p.m. MT.
