2026 Kansas City Chiefs Horizontal Big Board: Complete tier rankings for 228 NFL Draft prospects
Brett Veach says that the Kansas City Chiefs have 215 players on their big board. So, I put together my own horizontal big board featuring 228 2026 NFL Draft prospects.
Kansas City Chiefs GM Brett Veach recently revealed that the team’s draft board currently has 215 players on it. Despite having so many players on the draft board, he says there will be 10-15 players of those 215 that they really want to select.
With that in mind, and to better pinpoint top targets, I put together my own horizontal big board. It features 228 prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft and complete tier rankings, emulating Kansas City’s own process.
How to read the 2026 Chiefs Horizontal Big Board
Here’s a key to help you read the board:
- Out of Reach: Establishing the lone player truly out of reach for the Kansas City Chiefs.
- Trade Up #9: The players I think the Chiefs would have to move up from pick No. 9 to get.
- Pick #9: The players I think the Kansas City Chiefs could target at pick No. 9.
- Trade Down #9: The players I think the Chiefs would target in a trade down from No. 9.
- Trade Up #29: The players I think the Chiefs would have to move up from pick No. 29 to get.
- Pick #29: The players I think the Kansas City Chiefs could target at pick No. 29.
- Trade Down #29: The players I think the Chiefs would target in a trade down from No. 29.
- Pick #40: Players that I think the Chiefs could target at pick No. 40 (or Round 2).
- Pick #74: Players that I think the Chiefs could target at pick No. 74 (or Round 3).
- Pick #109: Players that I think the Kansas City Chiefs could target at pick No. 109 (or Round 4)
- Round 5: Players that I think the Chiefs could target in Round 5.
- Round 6: Players that I think the Chiefs could target in Round 5.
- UDFA: Players that I think the Chiefs will target as priority free agents post-draft.
Now, some important context to consider. Not all of these players are strong scheme fits for the Kansas City Chiefs. That doesn’t mean they won’t have a specific round and pick value for those prospects on their board. Another note: Not every player listed falls into the “positions of need” bucket either. A quarterback falling under a specific tier means that I think the Chiefs would value them there, not that I think they should select them there.
