The Kansas City Chiefs will again return to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, for annual training camp practices at the Mosaic Training Fields.

This marks the club’s 16th trip to St. Joe for training camp at MWSU. This year’s training camp will run from Wednesday, July 29, through Thursday, August 20, with 18 practices in total. There are returning events such as two exclusive season-ticket holder days (closed to the general public), Ambassador Day, Family Fun Day, and Military Appreciation Day.

This year, there will be a five-day head start for rookies and QBs, who will report on July 24th. Veterans won’t start until July 29th.

Missouri Western will charge a $7.00 admission fee on three practice days: Saturday, Aug. 1; Friday, Aug. 7; and Saturday, Aug. 8. They will also charge an $8.00 parking fee per vehicle per day (outside of season ticket holder days). Both fees are up $1.00 from over a year ago. Parking is pre-purchased when you reserve tickets. Ticket reservations will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, for season ticket holders and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, for the general public.

All dates and times are subject to change. The team will evaluate weather and field conditions daily. If the team is forced inside due to inclement weather, practices will be closed to the general public. They will practice outside if it’s raining, but only if there is no lightning or thunder in the area.

A five-day acclimation period will be required before the team’s first padded practices. Monday, Aug. 3 or Tuesday, Aug. 4 could be the first padded practice days for Kansas City.
