The Kansas City Chiefs have released their final injury report ahead of Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

For the third consecutive week, the Chiefs will be without LT Josh Simmons (back), and SS Chamarri Conner (knee) will not play. Andy Reid revealed the news after Friday’s practice. The good news is that No. 6 overall pick, Mansoor Delane (shoulder), is expected to participate and play in Week 3.

On Conner: “(Chamarri) Connor did some work today, but he’ll be deactivated this afternoon. He’s making progress, so he’s up practicing and moving around.”
On Simmons: “He’s making progress. We’ve just got to see where it all goes here.”
On Delane: “There’s a good chance (he’ll play), yeah.”

Here’s a quick breakdown of the final Week 3 injury reports for each club, complete with game status designations. Keep in mind that clubs can add to the injury report through Week 3’s kickoff on Sunday.

Observations

  • EDGE Chop Robinson will return from a concussion on Sunday. He’s easily the Dolphins’ best pass-rusher.
  • Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley ruled out WR Caleb Douglas ahead of Friday’s practice. It’ll be a disappointment for Patrick Mahomes, who expressed excitement about facing off against players from his alma mater, Texas Tech.
