The Kansas City Chiefs have released their first injury report ahead of Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

The team remains relatively healthy heading into Week 3, but a few new injuries stem from the Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The status of LT Josh Simmons and SS Chamarri Conner still remains in question for Week 3 after the latest updates from Andy Reid. The good news is that everyone seems to be trending in the right direction, including No. 6 overall pick Mansoor Delane.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the first Week 3 injury reports. Keep in mind that clubs can add to the injury report through Week 3’s kickoff on Sunday. They will release game status designations on Friday, Sept. 25.

Observations

  • The limited practice status for Sneed and Jones amounts to load management and veteran rest.
  • Cochrane, Hicks, Bassa, and Anudike-Uzomah are the only players with “new” injuries. Only one of those appears to be substantial enough to require limitations at practice.
  • If Anudike-Uzomah can’t go in Week 3, the Chiefs might use DE Jack Pyburn for the first time since acquiring him on the waiver wire at 53-man roster cuts. They could also elevate DE Emmanuel Ogbah from the practice squad for the game against his former team (Miami).

Observations

  • The good news for the Dolphins: DE Chop Robinson logged a full practice after missing Week 2.
  • The bad news for the Dolphins: rookie WR Chris Bell is back on the injury report with a knee injury. Rookie WR Caleb Douglas, who left Week 2’s game with an ankle injury, did not participate.
