The midweek injury report hasn't been kind to the Kansas City Chiefs in recent weeks, but that's all changed for Week 8 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

As the Chiefs' second practice of the week got underway on Thursday, they got a first glimpse at new WR DeAndre Hopkins. Outside of the sudden and surprising injury news that Skyy Moore would be placed on IR due to a core muscle injury, Kansas City managed a pair of positive injury updates on the midweek injury report.

Observations:

• RB Kareem Hunt was upgraded to a full participant in practice after being limited to start the week. This seems to be a "load management" situation with Hunt touching the ball nearly 30 times each of the past two weeks. 
• S Justin Reid was removed from the injury report entirely after being listed on the report with a hand injury on Wednesday.

Observations:

• I wouldn't read too much into Crosby's ankle. He'd have to have it chopped off to not play in Week 8. 
• Jakobi Meyers being downgraded suggests he's not quite ready to return yet.
