The Kansas City Chiefs continued to make additions to their 90-man offseason roster for 2024 on Wednesday morning.
According to the league's personnel notice for Wednesday, the Chiefs officially re-signed eight practice squad players on reserve/future contracts. The deal with DT Isaiah Buggs was already reported by NFL media on Tuesday. Here are the seven other players who officially signed a reserve/future contract with the team:
- S Trey Dean
- DT Matt Dickerson
- RB Keaontay Ingram
- DE Truman Jones
- RB Deneric Prince
- CB Keith Taylor
- WR Montrell Washington
These practice squad players remain unsigned by Kansas City:
- TE Matt Bushman
- TE Isaiah Gathings
- OT Jason Godrick
- OL Darian Kinnard
- QB Chris Oladokun
- DT Mike Pennel
- WR Cornell Powell
- TE Gerrit Prince
- C Austin Reiter
This doesn't necessarily mean these players won't re-sign with the team. Some of the players might demand larger contracts, which means it'll take more time to negotiate a deal.
The Chiefs had previously agreed to reserve/future contracts with the following outside free agents:
- WR Anthony Miller
- WR Jacob Copeland
- WR Shi Smith
- QB Ian Book
- RB Hassan Hall
- DE Jordan Smith
- CB Kelvin Joseph
As of right now, they've added 15 players on reserve/future deals. That brings the number of players under contract up to 49 for when the new league year officially begins in March of 2024.
