One of the NFL's biggest storylines this season is the Taylor Swift craze that started when her Love Story with Travis Kelce began.

She has been pictured at numerous games this season, supporting Kelce as the Chiefs try to repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

And on Wednesday, she was named the TIME Person of the Year, going in depth about her relationship with the tight end.

Swift specifically sent a very specific message to fans who are upset with the NFL's focus on her this season.

“I’m just there to support Travis," Swift told TIME. "I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

When the romance first began, her attendance at each game was breaking news, with NFL Insiders like ESPN's Adam Schefter, reporting on it. And once the game begins, the camera is known to flash to her suite a few times.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she said. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when then camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

The star wasn't always a football fan, but her relationship with Travis has meant she is watching a lot more games. And she had a very important realization.

“Football is awesome, it turns out,” Swift said. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

Swift also provided some more details on when the romance began, explaining that the podcast shoutout is what really caught her attention.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift explained. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

The first game she attended was unmatched, with the Swift showing up in red. And things got even better when Patrick Mahomes located Kelce in the end zone. Swift's reaction was unmatched, as she was jumping up and down, cheering. She even shouted "let's fu**ing go" following Kelce's impressive play.

"By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,” Swift explained. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care... The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Swift and Kelce's relationship is one that has taken over the news, and while some people are upset that it's taking away from the game, she really doesn't care. What matters most to her is that she is happy, and Kelce certainly plays a part in that.
