While Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have returned to their home state and will celebrate with their fans today, one important person will not attend. 

According to multiple reports, Taylor Swift has landed in Melbourne after spending time in Las Vegas for the Chiefs Super Bowl victory. So because of that, she will not be at the parade. 

The singer is set to perform in three sold-out shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Melbourne, before heading to Sydney, Australia for four shows. 

So for anyone hoping to catch a glimpse of Swift during the Super Bowl parade, I'm afraid that won't be happening.

A private jet, believed to be carrying Swift, departed LAX earlier this morning en route to Hawaii, with flight logs showing the plane is due to land in Melbourne shortly after midnight tonight.

NPR in Kansas City further reported that they were preparing for increased attendance due to the singer. 

“That's gonna be a whole second level of security issues that we have to deal with — the crowds and all that sort of thing,” Kansas City Manager Brian Platt said. “So we are more than ready. We have no concerns with our safety protocols and what we're doing to make sure that the route will be free of any issues.”

And with that, he seemed to hint that her presence was going to cause issues for the city's security. 

“I can't confirm or deny but we might have already told that to her team, just to keep everybody safe and make things a little bit easier for us,” Platt added.

Swift made an incredible effort to get to Las Vegas this past weekend after resuming her Eras Tour in Tokyo. After her final show, the singer hopped on her plane and headed back to the States to make it in time to see Kelce. 

If she was tired from all the traveling, she didn't show it. Instead the singer stayed up all night, celebrating the win with her boyfriend and the team. 

And while Kelce will be at the parade, he is expected to leave soon and travel around Europe with Swift during the offseason as her tour continues.
