Las Vegas Raiders HC Klint Kubiak still avoided the answer to the question fantasy football players around the world want to know
The Las Vegas Raiders are going to be without tight end Brock Bowers for at least Week 1.
The Las Vegas Raiders are set to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. At first, we thought they could be without running back Ashton Jeanty. He will play on Sunday. Now, it’s obvious they will be without star tight end Brock Bowers. He just recently had a procedure done on his meniscus. Now, the timeline is unclear.
The problem with this is the reporting. Well, kind of. There were reports that this happened last week. However, it wasn’t reported to everyone until a week later, which was this week. Now, of course the Raiders are being asked when this injury happened. Because, people want to know why it was just now reported.
Fantasy football owners around the world are upset because they just drafted Bowers, and there was no thought or even hint that he was injured at all. On Friday, head coach Klint Kubiak avoided the question, a bit.
“It all happened pretty quick. I don’t remember exactly what day, but yeah, we got it cleaned up,” Kubiak told reporters.
Then, he was asked about the timeline for Bowers, and when he would return. There are reports that say “1-2 weeks.” But, of course, the reporters are going to ask because it’s their job.
“I’m not going to talk about timelines,” Kubiak exclaimed.
Raiders can’t really afford to miss Brock Bowers for more than two weeks
The thought here is that the injury, which is a meniscus cleanup, is from wear and tear. This was not an injury that occured in practice. Then again, there was a practice in training camp that Bowers had tape on his knee, the same knee that was recently cleaned up. Of course, nothing was made of it. Fans were told he was fine and it’s simply just tape. Now that feels like the two situations are connected.
The Raiders cannot afford to be without Bowers for more than two weeks. This is supposed to be the Raiders No. 1 passing option. And, with the way the receiver room is built, not having him could hurt the offense massively. Hopefully he is back next week against the Los Angeles Chargers.
