The Las Vegas Raiders already have one of their biggest games of the year in Week 4. This is the perfect test to see whether this is actually a good team. And, sure, the 3-0 record is real, because you play who is on your schedule. But the Raiders have a real shot on Sunday to upset the Kansas City Chiefs.

But before every game, teams have to make roster moves. Here are the players the Raiders decided to make inactive for the game on Sunday:

The big story here is defensive tackle Jonah Laulu. He was a starter last year and a breakout player.

Aidan O’Connell’s “injury designation” was lifted Sunday morning as he returned to the team. He missed time due to a personal reason. But he is inactive and will serve as the emergency third QB.

Jackson Powers-Johnson, the starting right guard, is inactive with an injury. Last week, rookie Treydan Stukes was inactive with an injury. Rookie safety Dalton Johnson was also inactive, along with Bryce Cabledue, JJ Pegues, and Darrell Luter. This week it’s Luter again, and safety Tristin McCollum.

Roster moves the Raiders have made coming into this week

Some teams will elevate practice squad players if they need to. For example, the Raiders elevated wide receiver Cody White the last two weeks, and he scored three touchdowns. For this week, they did not elevate anyone, despite extra injuries like Jack Bech and Jackson Powers-Johnson being out.

Bech is on IR, so they’ve signed White and added some guys to the practice squad, like Tyler Scott and Phillip Dorsett. They’ve also signed running back Owen Wright to the practice squad. LV also waived wide receiver Justin Shorter.

With JPJ out, the Raiders are relying on backup right guard Caleb Rogers to play well vs. Chris Jones. That’s a tall task, but his 280 career snaps will come in handy as a backup. The Raiders need this win. If they pull it off, they’ll be one of only two teams undefeated in the AFC. Who would’ve thought that would even be a sentence?
