Las Vegas Raiders’ 2026 NFL Draft plan just got a whole lot easier with new Horizontal Big Board
The Raiders have many needs as they head into the 2026 NFL Draft. They only have so many picks to address it all. The Horizontal Big Board helps show where they should prioritize those needs.
The Las Vegas Raiders are in a unique position. The new head coach and an incoming rookie franchise QB signal progress, but the roster still needs work. Fortunately, the team has the resources to address these gaps.
In this upcoming draft, they have 10 draft picks. They have six picks in the top 135 of the draft, including three fourth-rounders. The world is in their hands right now, and they could really walk away with an amazing draft class. But there are still so many questions.
With all of the needs they have, and there are a lot, what do they target in each round? How do they go about their draft plan and process if they’re not doing best player available every single pick? If the value is better for a certain position in Round 4, who would be available there rather than in Round 3? Things like that are important.
So, I built my first Horizontal Big Board. A Horizontal Big Board is essential for evaluating positional depth and alternatives. For example, if a team decides to pass on a cornerback in the second round, the horizontal board shows them which other options might still be available in the third or fourth rounds. And, it shows the types of players they should target with each pick, layering options for every single position.

It’s not perfect, but based on what I think will or should happen, using what we know about the roster and what we’ve heard from coaches, this is what I got. So, for example, you will notice there is no running back or tight end in the first few rounds. They don’t need to, and won’t take a tight end in the second round. And, of course, some of my favorite UDFA players are at the bottom as well.
It’s impossible to predict what the Raiders will do, and even harder when you realize this is Spytek’s second time ever calling the shots. But it should be a fun weekend ahead.
