The Las Vegas Raiders know that their secondary has been a bit of a weakness at times this season.

Injuries certainly haven't helped. Accordingly, they are looking outside the organization for some help on defense.

They are signing former second-round pick cornerback Sidney Jones.

The Seahawks waived Jones shortly after the trade deadline. They attempted to deal the CB beforehand, but there wasn't a good enough deal on the table.

The Raiders are swooping in to grab him.

Jones has struggled with injuries over the course of his NFL career. Although, last season was his healthiest.

In five prior seasons, he has four interceptions and 142 tackles.

It will be interesting to see what role he plays for the Raiders.

They are looking for an improvement in the depth for the back-end of their defense.
